Ex-president of the United States Donald Trump released an NFT collection that sold out and generated more than $4.5 Million in sales.
OKHotshot revealed that Donald Trump recently minted a thousand of his own NFTs to his vault wallet. Additionally, it seems the team behind the project stole the images from stock photos. People have found watermarks on the NFTs they forgot to remove.
The collection currently counts more than a thousand holders. The success of the operation could lead to Trump considering NFT sales as a way to fund his next electoral campaign bringing yet another use case to the technology.
Secondary sales are currently topping the NFT market. It also inspired a few knock-offs, which traded well over the weekend.
